Another Possiblity for a New begining

Prologue

Even before she opened her eyes, Isabell knew that she wasn’t in her room. It had been so long since this happened. She wasn’t sure that she wanted to see what would come next. She screwed her eyelids tightly together, clenching her fists until her fingernails dug into her flesh, hoping the feeling would go away, but as the seconds ticked by, she sighed and slowly opened her eyes to see what lay before her.

White! Everything was pure white; she had never started this way before. Isabell decided to stand up and see where exactly she was this time. But as she struggled to her feet she was surprised to realize that she was actually in a clearing surrounded by towering oaks and everything was covered in a thick almost cotton like snow

She seemed to have no effect on it at all, no print showed where she had been laying, she didn’t even feel chilled even though she only wore a thin nightgown and was barefoot. It seemed that this time she was just an observer into the events that would unfold; she didn’t have to interact this time. Her breath whooshed out of her and Isabell realized that she had been holding it. Wondering what was to come.

Isabell looked towards the sky only to see dark rolling clouds sweep across the horizon. She could almost smell the moisture that was about to erupt from the sky. As the lightning began in the distance, Isabell decided to make for the oaks and see if she could find any shelter. She wasn’t sure if the thunderstorm would actually affect her or not. She couldn’t help crouching low as thunder boomed overhead, and began to run through the snow towards the edge of the woods, her mind felt blank, she still didn’t feel cold, even though now she could now feel her feet.

It was not fair when she did not know what was to come. It gave her a disconcerting and unsettling feeling, panic laced through her chest. The instinct of being prey began to course through her. Isabell stumbled with that rationalization, missing her step and twisting her knee. She couldn’t stop the anguished cry that tore from her throat as she fell into a bank of snow.

She pushed up from the ground and looked toward the oaks, only to be startled to see a very large black and silver wolf. Isabell sucked in her breath; he was looking right at her. She had nowhere to go. She couldn’t even feel any rocks or sticks around her. She had nothing to defend herself with. The sense of prey increased, with her knee throbbing Isabell knew that she going to be an easy target.

She got up and tried to run despite the pain ripping through her and paid for it by falling again, this time fire flared through her leg. Isabell’s leg was now shooting pain from her toes to her hip, she could feel the leg getting stiff & knew there would be no running. She laid there panting with pain, knowing he was coming.

With that thought in mind she started to pull herself in the other direction. The Wolf slowly stalked her, coming closer and closer, she felt her energy slowly drained from her body. She tried to slide backwards but her hands felt like they were being cut on glass, pain was crawling up every nerve of her body, she could see his breath rising like smoke & steam out his mouth. Isabell could hardly pull herself any farther. She finally slowed & then stopped, unable to go any further, unable to stop the scene from unfolding.

She lay there in the snow, panting with the effort it had taken her to make it the few feet she had crawled, waiting for the inevitable attack from him. She had felt his breath on her feet as he followed her across the clearing. The air crackled with the electricity from the storm.

Isabell rolled over onto her back, so that she could actually see what was going to happen. She couldn’t believe that she actually thought she wouldn’t have to participate this time. She couldn't believe how naive she was even after all these years. The wolf stood over her feet and she saw for the first time that there was a gash down her leg that had left a trail of blood behind her marring the pristine snow.

With every breath she took he took a step closer, agonizing slow, time felt like it would never end. As he neared her foot she tried to pull away only to find that she was so stiff & numb that she could no longer feel anything. She closed her eyes wondering if she would feel pain when he finally attacked her. But in her mind she could still see him, see his eyes.

His eyes, startling colors of blue and green, shocked her, almost the color of a storm-ravaged sea. A color that no animal should have. She slowly opened her eyes & was startled to find herself staring directly into the eyes of the wolf, unable to escape them.

Her mind was taking in information even though all of her attention was held by the wolf's eyes; things like the wolf's blood soaked footprints showing stark against the snow, the way the wind ruffled his fur, the clouds rolling in above them like the tide, how suddenly she actually felt how cold it was.

Her hands and legs were now numb from crawling through the snow, her face and hair wet from the fresh snow that had just began to fall. She felt frozen, both inside and out, all she could see were his eyes and the snow falling past them. He stalked forward, slowly moving up her body, an involuntary shudder ran through her when the wolf licked the gash in her leg, as if he was lovingly tasting his prey. He moved up her body, sniffing at her hip, across her stomach.

His breath was warm & felt like steam upon her throat, Isabell could feel it mist because of the cold, and she tried to move, to push his mouth away but he just nipped her bloody hand, at her weak attempt. She wasn’t sure that she could even move. Her body did not even feel like it was attached to her brain.

She watched his eyes getting closer, seeming so empty, so dead. Isabell tried to will her mind to control her body; she tried to push him away again but was jolted with a shock of electricity when her hand touched his fur; it was like silk but warm and thick. Instead of pushing him away her hand sunk into the fur at his neck. Something sparked inside his eyes at her touch; he no longer looked dead inside. Haunting eyes, eyes full of pain & longing, eyes full of questions, the eyes of a man. But how can that be, how can those eyes be in this wolf, how could she know those eyes.

Isabell could not understand what she saw, it was too human, but at that moment she knew that she would never move again. He lowered his mouth down, around her neck; she felt the indentions that his canines were making in her neck. She looked deep into his eyes as she felt his teeth sink into her throat.

The pain was sudden, sharp, burning; she could feel the warm blood pouring down her neck soaking her hair, her nightgown, and the snow beneath them. With her last breath a scream tore from her throat, it came from deep down in her soul, more painful than the wolf’s teeth in her throat, something pulled hard inside of her, her heart felt like it was going to explode. She was on fire, the pain had tears streaming down her face, she felt like her soul was being torn from her, and then the darkness swallowed her whole . . . . . . . . . .

I lay here in agony. Everything hurts. Am I dreaming? The pain can’t be real, it feels like a ball of fire in my stomach with flames licking my insides and boiling my blood. My face is so cold. I’m shaking. Why can’t I just sleep peacefully?
Chapter 1

“AAARRRGGGHHH”

Thump. I wake up on the floor of my bedroom in a tangle of sheets & my hair. Missy peeked over the edge of the bed;

“You ok, honey?”

“Yea, No. Ah shit, I think I bruised my tailbone” I moan.

“Goodness, Isa, Ya scared the dickens out of me with all that thrashing & then you just launched out the bed with all the covers” Missy exclaimed “You know I’m kinda freezing my ass off up here. Come up here & tell me what the hell that was all about.”

A thoughtful look crossed Missy’s face & she started to giggle hysterically “On second thought you stay down there, you look damn sexy all tangled in the covers”

“Ha-Ha, Missy. My ass is bruised, I’m so tangled up I couldn’t stand even if I felt the need to & you are up there giggling like an idiot” I grumbled.

“Well I can’t help it, Isa, you should have seen your face when you hit the ground. Plus I bet you wished now that you hadn’t raised the bed up so high” Missy answered through her giggles.

“Did you even tried to stop me from falling off the bed” I asked with a hurt look.

“Oh quit your pouting” Missy said softly as she slid down off the bed & started to help Isabell untangle her hair & sheets. “You were kicking & thrashing around, then you shoved away, fell off the bed & screamed. I didn’t really have that much time to try & stop you. Want to tell me what it was all about?”

I scooted closer & laid my head in her lap. I took a deep breath & tried to realign myself, to make sense of it before I tried to talk about it. I could still feel his breath, his teeth in my throat, his eyes. My leg throbbed, my throat felt raw & sore, my hand was on fire. I closed my eyes as Missy started running her fingers through my hair.

I sigh “It was about a wolf.”

“A wolf?” Missy questioned “What made you so upset about a wolf?”

I don’t know where to even start, when all of a sudden Missy’s hand stops moving. My eyes pop open & I look up into Missy’s eyes & I see the dawning understanding.

“Oh…..It was one of those dreams wasn’t it?” Missy questions quietly “What do you think it was trying to tell you?”

“I don’t know, Pixie, I’ve never had one like this before. I was in the Glen/Valley & it was beautiful, with all of this white snow & huge majestic oaks. You know how I love those oaks. I kept thinking I’ve been here before, but there wasn’t anyone there. I couldn’t figure out what the hell the purpose of the dream was. I was walking across the Glen/Valley when I spotted him. This wolf was huge & beautiful & his eyes……His eyes were haunting. The he tore my throat out and I woke up on the damn floor with your short ass giggling at me.” I finish with a sigh and shut my eyes again.

“Um. I’m not sure what that was supposed to tell you, but your answers always come to you in its own time, you know you can’t force it. “Missy said with a worried look on her face” But I don’t like the fact that I’m leaving today. It’s never good for you to be alone after these dreams.”

“I’ll be ok. You can’t not go, Pix, just cause your worried about me. What about your grandmother and your baby brother, they’ve been dying for you to come out to the new house in California. They haven’t seen you in months, since before the move. They moved to California for you.” I tell her softly “ I won’t let you stay. I promise I’ll be fine.

I wrap my arms around her, hugging her tightly “ Come on, lets get off of this floor and I’ll help you finish packing, then we will take a shower otherwise you’ll never get to the airport on time.”

I stand up & hold a hand out to her to help her off the floor. I can tell she is still worried but I refuse to let her break her promises to her family, my dream flashes through my mind, I have enough things to worry about.

I can’t help but smile at her, her hair is a riot of platinum spiral curls looking every inch the pixie that I so lovingly call her, well at least a surfer pixie. Unlike myself, Missy’s green eyes, always showed so much expression, always showed the smile on her face and the worry in her heart.

Missy studies me intently before she smiles and reaches up to take my hand. I watch her face light up and her eyes snap. It was so easy to picture her with fairy wings sitting in a buttercup, giggling.

At that thought, as I pull Missy up, I started to laugh and felt my bad mood slide off of me. It was one of the things that drew her to me, the inability to be upset around her, it made my life bearable at times like this.

I smile down at her and wrap my arms around her “Let’s go take that shower first, if you miss your flight I’ll get another ticket for you.”

I watched as relief flooded her expression and she reached up on her tiptoes & planted a luscious kiss on me and then bounded off to the bathroom, singing some pop song.

Chapter3

3.

Wolf was surprised to find that they had just walked into a large garden.

"How did you managed to plant an entire garden inside a warehouse?" asked Wolf.

"Well, I've got a fabulous gardener named Missy. She doesn't have much upstairs as far as common sense but she can make practical anything grow no matter what the conditions are." Raven responded "Missy had the floor ripped out in some places and planted the hedges and a lot of the larger plants. Most of the flowerbeds are in sunken pots in the floors. The fountain was the major thing and it came out great." as Raven pointed at the large fountain and pond off to the left side of the warehouse.

" I can't believe the way it looks in here. You would never know from the outside." Wolf said, " It looks fabulous. "

"Thank you. Missy and I worked really hard designing and installing it." Raven said, " Also, I have two large wolfhounds somewhere in here. They haven't come out yet because of your voice. They are waiting for me to call them. I just wanted to warn you before they came out of nowhere. Sometimes they slink up and lick you before you even know they are there."

"If you want to call them that is fine with me, it's your place." Wolf responded, " Where does all the light come from in here?

Raven lightly whistled twice before answering " We installed sky lights in the ceiling that also double as solar power for the backup generator in case of power failure before the generator kicks on. The isle lanterns are all connected together with the skylights, as are the soft lights in some of the trees. There is a switch that opens the tint screen during the day on the skylights to enable enough light to work during the day and help with the sunlight for the plants. It is essentially a green house but with a few technologic tweaks to ensure privacy for me."

" I really like the way it is designed." Wolf said softly, amazed at the way her face looked when she talked about her home. Knowing, somewhere in his mind that he was privilege to see it and that probably few had ever seen it, except maybe this Missy who helped design the garden. Wolf felt a stab of jealously for Missy for being able to share this creation with her. He watched her crouch down to pick some herbs that where next to them and heard her whispering softly to herself or maybe the plants.

" What are you saying?" he whispered in her ear as he crouched next to her, placing his hand on her hip. Raven looked up at him surprised that he had even heard her. She softly smiled at him knowing that she must have looked nuts crouch down whispering to her plants. She wonder again why she felt so opened with this man.

What was he to her? Why did she not feel compelled to lie to him, to protect herself and her home? Why did this man, who she knew did not give a second thought to how anyone felt, make her so unsettled with his questions?

She could feel the uncertainty that he felt about even inquiring these personal things. She somehow knew that he rarely bothered with people's feelings and never reveals much of himself. So she couldn’t understand why he was bothering to ask and why she even answered. It just proved that there was more to them than she had originally thought.

But instead of ignoring him she heard herself softly say " I thank the earth for giving me something from her. I know it sounds strange but I have found that animals and plants respond better to the sound of your voice. And I’m sure Missy has rubbed off on me some as far as that goes. You should hear her, she sings show tunes to them."

Hearing a slight noise from behind her, she reached out to touch Wolf so he wouldn’t jerk when Dakota and Elk, her dogs, came up. Wolf felt the dogs' breath on his neck at the exact moment that Raven touched him. He looked into her eyes and realized what she was telling him. Wolf couldn’t believe he never even heard them walk up, he was so wrapped up in watching her that all of his sense had seemed to take break on him.

He stood quickly, compelled to put some kind of space between them so he could collect himself. He wanted to sit down with Raven and find out what was really going on. The dogs had bothered him, it had been a long time since anything had snuck up on him and he wanted to know why this woman affected him like this.

In his mind, he couldn’t afford to be like this, it was a weakness and it disturbed him greatly, but dispute this he found he couldn’t help smile at the irony that Raven owned a set of Irish Wolf-hounds. He really needed another cigarette and he wasn’t sure where his last one went.

Raven could feel him pulling away from her both emotionally and physically; it felt like a dull pain in her chest. To mask the pain she was feeling she leaned over and hugged Dakota and Elk. Whispering softly to them. They immediately lay down on the ground before her to get their ears scratched. She obliged them and then stood.

"We may as well go have a drink, don’t you think so Wolf? Raven asked as she walked away from him. She walked through the garden, towards a column covered in ivy. Only when they reached the column did Wolf realize that it was actually a set of iron circular stairs, the ivy has completely masked its purpose in the dusky atmosphere of her gardens.

He could hear Dakota and Elk padding behind him and he shook his head in disbelief at the fact that he hadn't heard them the first time. The dogs stalked him up the stairs, he could hear and feel them adjusting to the smell of him. He suddenly realized that they probably are never exposed to strangers. The only person that Raven had even mentioned was her gardener. He could hear the fountain gurgle below him and felt the tension flow out of him as he ascended her stairs into the loft above the garden.

As Wolf stepped into Raven’s loft he senses were assaulted. The smells, colors even the textures were in deep contrast to what he thought he would find up here. He thought that everything would be so dark compared to what he had seen. There where windows all along one wall, sky lights in the living room, kitchen and probably the bedroom but he couldn’t see in there.

He felt rooted to the threshold. It looked like there were hard wood floors and tile through out, but there where thick, vibrant, plush throw rugs littering the floors. Deep cranberry in the living room, a startling sapphire blue in the kitchen that he didn’t even realize you get that color. The walls were a soft cream color throughout. He took a ragged breath and realized that she had stopped a few feet from him and was watching. She was just standing there patiently, with a smile on her face.

Raven seemed to radiate energy the moment she stepped in her home. It seemed to recharge her. The dogs brushed by him to sit by her side; while he finished his inspection of the loft he had just stepped into. Raven just laughed, knowing what he was feeling. Her home can be a little surprising if you aren't anticipating it.

She motioned towards the couch and said softly " Wolf. Go ahead and have a seat. What would you like to drink?" Wolf looked at the couch and then back to her, feeling a little slow on the uptake and then replied " Oh, a vodka and tonic if you got it."

As Raven walked into the kitchen she thought about the fact that this man has the same mannerism as herself, drinks the same drink and god knows what else. She felt so alive as she pulled out her crystal goblets and the vodka. She peeked into the living room from the kitchen, to find him lounging on her coach, looking as if he had sat there a hundred times.

She could see his eyes slowly go over the things in her flat, taking stock, stopping occasionally when there was a piece he didn’t expect. She was shocked to notice that his subtle movements matched the animal he was named after. She wondered if is real name would match as well.

Chapter 2

2.

Raven couldnt believe that she was leading Wolf to her car and her home. Especially considering her past experiences with men, but she couldn’t help herself. She wanted him so badly it hurt, and she didnt even know his name. She could hear him breath as he walked behind her. Just thinking about him being that close made the soft hairs on her neck raise. Where was she going to start? How was she going to explain what was running in her or that she had seen his face before but only in her dreams, she had seen the pain in his eyes, she knew that kind of pain, she saw the same in her eyes every time she looked in the mirror. She needed a glass of wine and thank god Missy didnt come up this weekend. That was something Raven did not want to explain, to either Missy or Wolf. Thankfully her car was at the garage instead of her driver bringing her. She needed to drive hard to get some of the energy out or she was going to jump him in the alley.

Wolf was listening to the click-clack of her spiked heeled boots and avoided staring at her ass. That kiss in the club was intoxicating, he wouldn't have let her go but he felt like he was going to lose control. Something he despised doing and rarely ever did anymore. Especially, not with any female. Sex was never a problem, girls tended to fall over him. But he could only tolerate them for so long. The only part he liked was they losing it and the fact that he caused it. But he wanted her, wanted to grab her, sink his hands deep in her hair and bury him into her. To do things to her that he had never done with anyone.

The sun was starting to rise and the sky was full of vibrant purples, blues and reds streaking through the sky. They were walking towards the sun and from were Kaleb was standing, Isabell seemed to be bathed in light and even though she was dressed all in black, she seemed to glow. A viscous gust of wind blew her leather duster to the side and Kaleb caught a glimpse of the golden skin above her hip. All he could think about was licking that spot and tasting her skin. She started to shiver from the cold wind and Kaleb reached out for her. She started to jerk away but stop when his hand touched her shoulder. It wasn't so much his hand as the thumb that brushed the back of her neck. She would normally have broken a man's hand for touching her but she could sense that he didn't often reach for anyone and his hand was warm.

" My car is at the top of the stairs. I'm sorry it was such a walk. But I don't like to park close to the clubs." Raven said.

"Raven, what is your real name?" Wolf questioned.

"Don't worry we will get to that later. Here is my car, get in; my house is about 10 minutes away. The sun is coming up and I want to be home before it is all the way up."

Wolf was shocked to see that Raven's car was a sleek, black 1967 Barracuda with blue ghost flames running down the sides, most women didn't drive machines like this. Hell most men didn't drive cars like this He held the car door open for her as she got in, which surprised Isabell because he didn't seem the type to hold the door for anyone. He walked to the passenger side and got in. "Where to next?" Wolf asked. He felt like a puppet being led around.

"My place is on 6th and Drake." Raven responded. She could tell he was anxious.

"I thought there was an abandoned warehouses on that corner. And isn't it about 20 minutes away?" Wolf asked.

"It may looked abandoned on the outside, but it most definitely isn̢۪t on the inside. I own the whole warehouse; my flat is on the top floor. And it only takes 10 minutes the way I drive." Raven said as she put on her sunglasses, put the car in first and turned the car to head out of the garage.

She rolled down the windows, to feel the cool air on her face and slipped in "Enigma" into the CD player and cranked the sounds.

"You'll have to excuse the music, it helps me wind down after a night of acid rock." Raven told Wolf.

He couldn't believe the woman he just met. She looked solid acid & punk rock, but listened to earthy, sexual music. She practically had sexuality wrapped all around her, but not one man looked at her or approached her. She had the look of a chronic raver with nothing in her head or her pockets but when you get close enough you can tell the quality of her clothes and makeup, even after all night partying she still looked stunning.

Wolf leaned his head back against his seat and wondered what he was in for. And silently hoped it was as consuming as he wanted it. He looked at her as she ran through the gears of the 'Cuda and was surprise by the quick pain of attraction in his stomach. He couldn’t wait until they got to her place, if that kiss in the club was any inclination of the kind of passion she was going to have, he was in for one hell of a night. At that thought a wicked little grin crept across his face.

Raven crept out of the garage careful not to scrub the 'Cuda but as soon as she cleared the garage she began to run through the gears, wanting to get home. She could feel the sun was rising even through the tint and her eyes were already starting to hurt. If she couldn’t kick her insomnia soon her eyes were going to be too sensitive to go anywhere without her sunglasses. As she turned smoothly turned left at the end of the block, She thought about him sitting so close to her. She could feel Wolf shift in his sit as she rode the corner sharply. Her hair was blowing back off of her face and she was sure that it was hitting him in the face but he never said anything and neither did she.

It felt good to be going home, back to her space, the place where she really felt free. At that moment she started to feel panicky about the man sitting next to her. What was she getting her self unto? She had never had a male in her house since the day she left her mothers home at the age of thirteen. What was she going to do with him when they got there? Raven didn’t know, but she felt all of the anxiety drain from her body as she looked at Wolf There was a reason why she went to the club tonight to met him and she was going to figure out what her mind has subconsciously sent her to do.

She slowed her 'Cuda down has she rounded the corner off of 6th Street. Turning onto Drake and she immediately took a left and stopped, flicking off her headlights. Wolf looked at her, he had thought she was going to drive into the wall, but he watched as she pressed the single silver bullet charm that hung from around her neck. And out of what he had thought was a drainage line in the sidewalk, an electronic keypad rose out of the ground. Raven quickly typed in a couple of keys and the face opened to reveal an intercom. "Raven" she told the box and a green light flashed on to the LCD screen directly above the intercom, it scrolled across "Welcome Home." Raven closed the front of the box, showing the keypad and typed in two more numbers and it smoothly glided back into the ground. She looked at Wolf and gave a small smile, like what just happened was a normal thing to do, then looked forward and put the car into first.

Wolf looked up to see that the brick wall that they had been in front of them was now gone. Isabell pulled through the wall into the warehouse and it silently close behind them plunging them into pitch darkness.

"Well we are here," Raven softly said " at my fortress."

"It's nice, I just love the black thing that you have done with the place, so much better than all the white furnishing that everyone is into now." Wolf teasingly said.

Raven paused and then broke out with laughter and surprise at the response she had received about her home, and then laughed even harder when she realized that they were sitting in the dark and how odd that must have been for him, she hadn't even thought about it, she was so use to it by now.

She moved to open the door to turn on the lights when he touched her arm. Wolf was surprise that he was worried that his smart-ass comment had offended her, but then she broke into laughter and shocked him further still by how nice it was to hear her laugh. It was as beautiful as she was, and he wished that he could see her eyes when she laughed like that. He reached for her and felt her go deathly still, like she was fighting in- side her self.

He turned in his seat and felt her shift slightly to him; he ran his hand up her arm to her shoulder, feeling how soft her skin was. Breathing in her smell, something light like jasmine or magnolia, it was intoxicating. He ran his thumb over her collarbone and eased his hand behind her neck with his thumb on her chin raising her mouth up towards his. He leaned forward and rested his cheek next to hers, feeling her soft breath on his ear. He sank his hand into her hair, gently pulling her forward until her lips touched his.

He was sinking in the feel of her; he had never felt anything like this before, as she melted into the front of him. Sliding her arms around his waist and slipping her little hands into his shirt to slide them up his spine. Not even the coldness of her hands stopped him from fully enjoying the softness of her hands, the scrape from her nails has she pulled him closer to her. Tasting her tongue in his mouth, how it felt like velvet.

He moved to pull her closer when he bashed his hip into the skull gearshift. He didn’t stop but Raven felt it and pulled back to softly ask, "Are you ok?"

"Yea, yea, just a miscalculation of were the gear shift was." Wolf responded. He wanted to turn back to her but he could sense the shift in her.

" Well give me a moment and I will go turn on the light and then we can go upstairs and have a nice stiff drink." Raven said lightly as she got out of the car and walked to the wall. She licked her lips and tasted his skin again before she touched the switch. Wondering again what she was doing with him, why she brought him to her home.

Pushing away from the wall, she walked towards the 'Cuda and pulled her cigarettes from the dash. Lighting one of them, she watched as Wolf unfolded his self from the car.

He lend across the roof of the car and asked "Mind if I can have one?"

"Yea, sure. Here is a light." Isabell said as she passed the pack and a lighter across to him.

Raven walked towards the door in front of 'Cuda and stopped in front of the keypad beside it. She punched in a couple of numbers and heard the door click and the central stereo click on. She pressed the * key and said "Track 1 on". Raven reaching for the doorknob, felt Wolf walk up behind her, and she stopped moving.

"Is everything voice and numerical operated in your home." Wolf whispered in her ear.

" Nay, just the electronic things." Raven joked. As they walked through the door.

My Book- Chapter 1

1.

The clubs are underground clubs, but not the typical rave night thing. People are only known by their assumed name, never their real name. If you got the money, or can past the test, you are in. And it is not just one club; there are hundreds of them, networking throughout ever Major City in the states and more than a few out of them. They have no name, and there is no front door. A small painted black flower or identifying hieroglyphic outside the entrance door identifies them. A small symbol you wear, a ring, necklace, or such identifies you. You could bring one guest with you at a time, and they kept records of that person. If your guest fucks up, you are out, if you are lucky you get out alive. If not you both disappear.

Kaleb was thrilled, finally something besides the same old shit. He paid the woman, named Jilli, to take him to the club and to get him to the right person to talk to. She was too scared to deny and the money he offered her was too much. She ditched her date, and walked away with Kaleb. When they arrived, he was surprised that they were at an old warehouse. But as they walked to they door he noticed the small black poppy painted above the door jam. He grabbed Jilli by the arm and asked if all the symbols were poppies. Which she promptly told him no, and informed him that this was her kind of club, and that the flower identified the type of club. A peephole slides open in the door. The girl showed her ring with the poppy worked into the design, and the bouncer showed them into they front hall. And that is when it happened.

They place was packed, Kaleb was looking around wondering where all of the people can from, because the warehouse looked abandoned from the outside, when he walked into her. She was beautiful; she had waist length black hair, with streaks of blonde and red. Her eyes were the color of violets, and he had never had such and over powering attraction to anyone before. And he couldnt believe what she was telling Jilli. She turned and took Kalebs hand and walked away. Kaleb looked back towards Jilli but she looked like she had just touched an open flame. Kaleb leaned towards the black haired girl and said "what is your name?" she stopped and looked him up and down, assessing if he deserved a response. "My name is Raven. Yours?" looking down at her he was surprised by her answer since he was staring at a small tattoo of a violet on her breast. But instead he responded, "Wolf" and than tapped the tattoo and asked "why not Violet?" She just laughed and showed him her ring responding, "violet is my group not the name I go by. I am almost never at this club, but I had a feeling to come here tonight and now I know why. Come on, we have a lot of catching up to do, and I want to take a shower. My car is a block from here in a garage."

Wolf was pissed she was telling him what to do, but as he looked around all he saw was a bunch of doped out assholes, and the woman beside him was just too tempting. He reached down, wrapped his arm around her waist and lifted her against him. He sunk his hand into her hair, leaned his head down and kissed her until he felt her relax in his arms.

Wolf had no idea how dangerous it was to touch this woman. Bouncers from all over the room started to slowly move towards them, waiting for a signal from Raven. She was one of the most respected members due to her age and the way she handled her business affairs with the club. She had impressed some of the higher boss women when she joined at 14yrs old. And intrigued them even more when at 15 she started buying real estate and doing well in her investments and stocks under an assumed name. The council, due to her background and childhood, constantly watched raven and every club in the state knew who she was and the contributions she made to their organization of clubs. All the bouncers knew how Raven felt about males, and many men had received a broken hand or nose from her for daring to touch her. And she was nice compared to what the bouncers usually did. She felt the movement off to the left of her. Out of the corner of her eye she saw Tim, the head bouncer, close by watching intently to see if she was O.K. She gave the signal that she was fine. The bouncers slowly turned and walked back to their post, silently wondering who was the man that Raven would let touch her willingly. Wolf set her back down and let her lead him out of the warehouse without saying another word.
